Why does the outside of the liquid nitrogen tank freeze
Edit: Henan Tianchi Instrument Equipment Co., Ltd Date:2020-06-15
The ice crystals inside the liquid nitrogen tank are mainly due to the heat exchange between the inner and outer tanks of the liquid nitrogen tank and the condensation of water vapor in the air. It is normal for a normal liquid nitrogen tank to be slightly frosted, and you should pay attention if the frosting is serious.
Under normal circumstances, the normal use range of low-temperature liquid nitrogen tank design is 9.2 meters of gas and 8 liters/minute of liquid. If it exceeds this range of use, serious frosting will occur. When the gas temperature is low, pay special attention to the damage to the equipment. This phenomenon is also reflected in the serious frost on the tank.
The low-temperature liquid nitrogen tank was sent from the manufacturer to the user after a long-distance transportation. During this process, there may be a slight looseness at the top middle level gauge tank connection part. It is not obvious when the jar is not in use, and a lot of frost appears after use.
